Welcome
RECONNECT is a four-day immersive Holotropic Breathwork retreat held in the heart of nature.
Guided by Marc Aixalà, Sitara Blasco, and Juanjo Segura — senior facilitators and trainers — this retreat offers a safe and deeply supportive setting to explore non-ordinary states of consciousness.
- 4 Holotropic Breathwork sessions. (two as a breather and two as a sitter).
- Focus on the process: preparation dynamics, proper session support and integration work.
- Rest, movement, time in nature and a shared experience.
- Safe community container with experienced facilitators and like-minded participants.
Program overview
- Thursday: Arrival, opening circle, introduction to the Holotropic paradigm, and group dynamics.
- Friday: Preparation practices + Holotropic Breathwork Sessions 1 & 2, group activities.
- Saturday: Breathwork Sessions 3 & 4, integration time, relaxation in nature, sharing.
- Sunday: Integration practice, closing dynamics, and final sharing circle.
In the free time, there will be space for rest, movement, swimming, sharing, and quiet time in nature.
Facilitators
RECONNECT is guided by three senior facilitators with extensive experience in Holotropic Breathwork, transpersonal psychology, and integrative therapy.
Marc Aixalà
Senior Facilitator, Trainer of Facilitators, Psychologist & Author
Marc Aixalà is a telecommunications engineer and psychologist with Master-level training in Integrative and Strategic Therapy, specialized in the therapeutic use of non-ordinary states of consciousness, including Holotropic Breathwork and psychedelic-assisted therapy.

Certified as a Holotropic Breathwork facilitator since 2012, he is a trainer of facilitators and a member of the teaching staff at Grof Transpersonal Training and the Institute for Holotropics.
He has trained in MDMA-assisted psychotherapy with (MAPS) and in psilocybin-assisted therapy. He currently works as a therapist, trainer and mentor in clinical trials at Sant Joan de Déu Hospital (Barcelona) for PTSD and resistant depression. Marc is the author of the book “Psychedelic Integration”. He has worked in crisis support at Kosmicare and is the founder of the ICEERS Support Service, where he teaches an annual course. |
Sitara Blasco
Senior Facilitator, Trainer of Facilitators & Psychologist
With over 25 years of experience in Holotropic Breathwork, transpersonal psychology, and integrative therapy, Sitara is a leading figure in the global breathwork community.

A Psychologist and Master in Gestalt Psychotherapy, she has been a certified Holotropic Breathwork facilitator since 2002. She serves as a senior member of the teaching staff at Grof Transpersonal Training (GTT) and the Institute for Holotropics (IFH). Her approach combines strong clinical foundations with a warm, grounded facilitation style, and profound and clear teachings. She has a private psychotherapy practice based in Alicante, also offering online sessions.

Juanjo Segura

Juanjo is an integrative psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience facilitating Holotropic Breathwork and a passionate focus on supporting the facilitators in training.

Venue
The retreat takes place in the Montnegre Natural Park, a protected area of forest and rolling hills about one hour from Barcelona.
The property, Can Benet Vives, offers comfortable shared accommodations, meditation spaces, and a swimming pool in a space surrounded by trees and beautiful nature. It is a place designed for work in Non-Ordinary States and community experience.

Accommodation & meals
- Full board included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner (mostly vegetarian meals).
- All-day available coffee-breaks.
- Shared rooms (4-9 beds) with toilet and shower in each room. Rooms are assigned based on availability.
- Limited number of double rooms available for an additional fee. Single rooms are not guaranteed and will be considered upon request.
- Upgrades are confirmed after registration; if we cannot confirm an upgrade, you remain in shared accommodation at no extra charge.

Getting there
By car
The venue is located approximately one hour from Barcelona by car.
Detailed directions and GPS coordinates will be provided upon registration.
Carpooling options will be coordinated prior to the retreat whenever possible.
By train + taxi
From Barcelona you can take the train R1 to Calella, and then a taxi to the venue.
Private taxi service may be available upon request.
FAQ
Do I need previous Holotropic Breathwork experience?
No. RECONNECT is open to both newcomers and experienced participants. We provide a clear orientation, preparation guidelines, and ongoing support throughout the retreat.
Is there screening / any contraindications?
Yes. For safety, some medical or psychiatric conditions may require additional assessment or may be contraindicated for Holotropic Breathwork. The registration form includes a brief health questionnaire. If anything needs clarification, we will contact you privately.
If you are unsure, you can still apply and add a short note in the form. We will advise you on the safest next step.
What language will the retreat be in?
Reconnect is going to be an international and multicultural experience. We will use English and Spanish, with support for those who need it.
How does registration work?
Click “Apply / Register” and complete the form. Once confirmed, you will get access to the payment platform to secure your spot.
What should I bring?
Comfortable clothes, shoes that are easy to put on and take off, an eye mask or blindfold, swimwear if you want to use the swimming pool, and a water bottle for your personal use.
Can I come alone?
Yes. Many participants come alone. The retreat is designed to create a supportive and respectful group container while also honoring personal boundaries and privacy.
